This pre filter fits right over the outside air inlet for your ventilation system. In 2017 the Model 3 came out and we started selling an underneath type pre filter but the intake air duct changed in size in 2021, so we now offer this new version, and exterior cabin pre filter. It just snaps right over the last air inlet tracks that allow leaves and other loose debris to fall into your air ducts. When leaves get in there you A/C system can overheat and cause damage to your AC system. This pre filter will prevent this.
