Beadboard/wainscotting for bathroom

My husband thinks even if I paint with oil paint the beadboard will lift away from the wall with moisture in the bathroom.The guy doing the tiling wants to tile all the walls.I love the look of beadboard.Has anyone had moisture problems using it?This is the look I am going for.
