In this workshop, you will learn how to cut, organize, piece, thread paint and finish a beautiful landscape. We will even learn a bit about basic art principles. This is such a fun way to create a stunning piece of art and all from those scraps you didn't know what to do with! You won't be using a pattern but you will be amazed at how easy and exciting it is to step out of your comfort zone and let the creativity flow!  Marilyn is so looking forward to working with you! Outline Lesson one: Art Principles and preparing your fabric Lesson two: Cutting your scrap pieces and beginning to piece the sky area Lesson three: Piecing the rest of your quilt and adding foreground elements Lesson four: Thread painting Lesson five: Quilting, adding a unique border, and finishing your quilt     Supplies Required for Workshop You will be planning your own landscape (or if you wish, use Marilyn's as a guide) so the amounts of supplies will vary a great deal depending on what size you decide to make. Fabric scraps and/or fabric pieces Paper-backed fusible webbing Iron Sharp scissors, preferably one large and one small pair Teflon or silicone ironing sheet (optional) Muffin tins, small baggies, small containers, or large table Quilt base fabric Batting Thread Sewing machine Pins Fabric marker or magic marker Backing fabric Border fabric
