Full book cover design for Glenn Hoge's Unhittable about World War II legendary Japanese Battleship Haruna.
clean and simple with just a splash of color
From the brief: As war rages in Vietnam, a group of American deserters holed up in Japan plot their escape with help from local peace activists. Their destination: Sweden. Based on a remarkable series of true events, Sweden takes readers on an exhilarating journey from the killing fields of Vietnam to a fogbound fishing port on Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido, with stops at a volcanic island in Japan's subtropical south and a student-occupied university campus in Tokyo along the way. Sweden is your destination to discover a part of American history you never knew.

The book describes the Japanese philosophy known as Ikigai. Ikigai is about finding your personal life mission and being intentional about how you live your life.
Elegant and simple design for scholarly book examining the history of postwar relations between Japan and Korea, from the perspective of popular cultures including anime and film.
An unusual approach of modern pop cookbook which commonly dominated with real life dishes on cover. But with fully vectorized cover will be the most discernable face amongst the competitor.
An antiqu-esque, spacious book cover for an inspiring novel.
This cover is available for licensing, message my if interested! I currently am still working on this. The previewed version here still doesn't use full high res stock images for the dragon. The artwork will fit a story of an Asian girl with a connection to dragons and their power of fire. The character is posed and lit with the 3D app, Daz3D, which enables plenty of flexibility with changing poses, light and expression, especially good for future books of a series.
The subject of the cover is the “enso” as the symbol of enlightenment, of “all”, that can be reached through “nothing”, the waiver. I decided to exlclude capital letters to emphasize the sense of humility of Buddhism I chose few elements and constant geometric relationships to make the cover more spacious, simple and harmonious, in particular to give the sense of “empty” connected to nothing (which occupies the center of the cover) Colors come from zen culture and follow minimalist canons of modern graphic design: they are flat and timbral, without shades or shadows, in order to accentuate the simplicity and improve the visibility of elements.
