There are many ways to diffuse that go beyond using a plug-in essential oil diffuser, and one of our favorites at EG is by using aroma stones. At Christmas time, many years ago, my mom made ornaments out of a dough made of salt, flour and cinnamon. These ornaments have withstood the test of time and so has their spicy, cinnamon aroma. To this day, we still decorate our tree with mom’s homemade ornaments. We’ll be using the same recipe to make our DIY aroma stones that are long-lasting and great at diffusing essential oils. You can shape the dough into stones, as we’ve chosen to do, or shapes, ornaments, wall hangings and more. Here’s how a little dough and your favorite essential oils can create memories of your own. What You Need 1 ½ c Flour 2 oz Salt 4 oz Boiling water Grapefruit, Tangerine, Vanilla essential oils How To Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Pour boiling water over the dry mixture and stir together until the dough forms. Allow cooling before kneading the dough. Cut and roll the dough into different shapes and sizes. Let dry overnight.
