May 29, 2022 - The Fabric Tube Maker eliminates the need to hand fold and clip your fabric and batting strips before you sew! Insert your strip sandwich into the tool, and easily pull them through. The tool folds the sides of your strips in, then folds that in half, ready to sew! It's particularly useful for 2.5" strips projects.

Sew an eye-catching area rug with just one Jelly Roll and 1-1/4 yards of 100% cotton batting! Jelly Rolls are a trademark of Moda Fabrics. These small bundles of precuts consist of 40-42 strips; measuring 2-1/2-inches wide by 42-inches long. Use a different Jelly Roll for each rug to make them all unique! The Jelly-Roll Rug requires 1-1/4 yards of batting or use two precut Katahdin 100% Cotton Batting Rolls. The rug will finish to 30-inches by 44-inches.

To make the Fabric & Batting Tube, place a thin batting strip on the wrong side of a 2 1/2 fabric strip. Feed the layered (fabric & thin batting) strip, batting side up, into the wide end of the Jelly Roll Tube Maker. If needed, place a sewing awl in the slot on the tool to pull the layered strip through. Then fold the now magically folded, layered strip in half as it comes out the other end & place under the sewing machine presser foot ready to stitch.
