Forge Burner - Preston Young

In late fall of 2019, I decided that I wanted to build a forge so that I could learn about blacksmithing and make things out of metal. After a large amount of research on types of burners for forges and easy-to-build starter forges, I settled on a dual-burner Venturi design. This design utilizes a MIG welding tip to accelerate the pressurized propane to high velocities down the burner tube. This also pulls air down the intake valve, mixing the air and propane as it travels down the burner. As the burner opens up, the propane ignites.
