For those of you that are new to shopping on our website I'll let you in on a secret. Early German made Pfaff Sewing Machines are a weak spot for me. Almost every one of the ones you see come through here are either out of my personal collection or could very easily end up in my personal collection not to be listed for sale again. This 1229 is no exception. It's unique threading path is just the start for what makes using this machine stand out from the crowd and start conversations wherever it goes. This machine dates back to the early 80's when the now famous Pfaff IDT dual feed system was still pretty new and unrivaled in the household machine market. It offers 53 stitch options and is all mechanical in how it forms them but does have some clever electronic control as well. Like the speed control and stopmatic systems to make sure the needle is the correct spot for your next task. It also features LED lights on the front for things like low bobbin indication, IDT engagement, and letting you know when you have put it in bobbin wind mode. Speaking of LEDs, we have also upgraded the sewing light to be a modern LED unit. The free arm extension is present and has a clever back compartment that opens separately so you can still access your bobbin stash when you swing the front out of the way to make the swap. Like all of our machines this has been freshly serviced and inspected and is in perfect working condition.
