Traditionally the Garnet group of minerals is composed of 6 sub-minerals: Almandine, Pyrope, Spessartine, Andradite, Grossular, and Uvaroite. Deposits of Garnet can be found all over the world with large specimens coming out of our old home state of Connecticut in the United States.Historical UsesGarnets have historically been regarded as a stone that helps with hemorrhages, inflammatory diseases, and the suppression of anger.
