Due to issues with a recent batch of Wasli paper, this box will contain 4 sheets of HEMP paper, which can be used on their own (a cornstarch wash is recommended) or which can be glued together to make two sheets of Wasli. You can learn how to make your own Wasli paper, or how to prepare your paper surface in my masterclass on paper preparation. The Painting Kit is carefully curated beginner's box to ensure you have the tools you need to draw, paint, and complete your own Persian or Indian style miniature paintings. What's in this particular kit? - 4 x Sable Kolinsky natural hair watercolor paintbrushes in sizes: 000, 0, 4, 8 by the brand Eagle. - 1 x Natural small stone burnisher. Ideal for burnishing small surface areas. - 4 x A4 sheets of Indian hemp paper. - 1 x Squirrel Mop brush, ideal for flooding large surfaces. - 1 x Ruling pen- 8 x Tubes of 5ml watercolor/gouache paints as recommended, including: Indigo, Ultramarine blue, Alizarin Crimson, Yellow Ochre, Lemon yellow, White, Lamp black & Colbat Turquoise. These colours have been selected as they will allow you to create any colour seen/or needed in the online courses. - 1 x tube of genuine vermillion paint. Please note, Vermillion paint is considered toxic.
