Our old shower bucket was close to 40 years old, it was a 2 ½ gallon galvanized bucket that was breaking just above the nozzle I had on it. Metal fatigue was breaking it off. I used calking around where I put the pipe through the side, and would have to renew it ever so often. I used J-B Weld on this one to seal around the pipe, we’ll see how long it lasts. This bucket is not as heavy as our water bucket I use to carry water up from the well, but I made a heavy washer out of heavy aluminum to go on the inside to maybe help it hold up better. The handle is longer than the other bucket so I also put a chain across that will hang it higher for me and use the handle for Kathy. This is a 13 quart bucket but we don’t fill it as full as the other and it works great. We know without a doubt how much water we use for our shower. Now what did you picture when you hear of someone taking a shower out of a bucket?
