As conditions settle, they're individually hand-harvested by a committed ward of the Mountain, rinsed, sun-dried, and sorted. Coast & Clearing is honored to stock Mt. Shasta's last eruption-- documented in 1786.Most commercially-available pumice stones are formed in molds from powdered pumice for uniformity, which break down quickly with use. You'll feel the difference of this natural pumice right away! Note: our pumice is sold by weight class, as their sizes can vary widely.The perfect addition to pedicures, or exfoliating after a long soak. Buff skin and remove callouses from feet, elbows, knees, and rougher patches of skin. Metaphysically, pumice is highly absorbent of negative energy, and can help remove it from the auric field. This can help you break out of unhealthy habits in your life. So, while buffing away dead skin cells, imagine that you're also removing those old patterns, to begin anew.To use: Soak and lather well to soften skin. Wet the pumice stone in warm water. Gently massage callused skin in a circular motion to remove any roughness. Rinse often to remove dead skin from the stone. Rinse area and pat dry. Apply body butter, Bettering Balm, or moisturizing oils as desired.Avoid using on inflamed or cracked skin. Use pumice stones on appropriate areas before shaving. Allow pumice to dry completely between uses.With the proper care, this is the last pumice stone you'll ever need! To unclog residue buildup, submerse in hot soapy water, then gently scrub with a wire brush, rinsing often. Handle with care; rocks can fracture when dropped. Sun-drying pumice helps restore buoyancy, and re-energizes the stone for its next use.
