Our Daisy Chain yarn was born out of our eternal love for daisy chains, flower crowns and all the wonderful feelings connected to them. Bits of tea-dyed lace, hand-printed Jaipur fabrics and daisy trims are handspun into each colorway. Of course, you'll also find our signature sparkles and pretty hand-carded heathered colors.

A wonderful new yarn from Mondo Fil in Japan. Papiyon (butterfly) yarn is gorgeous and fun used on its' own, as an embellishment on edgings, blankets, necklines or cuffs as well as in weaving and crochet.
The little bursts of colour in the tiny butterfly-like gauze fabrics threaded on to the holding yarn are exquisite.
This would also be very stunning used in sewing and stitching.

The inspiration behind Dreamland yarn comes from the insanely amazing trim markets of Hong Kong and India. They are jam packed with gorgeous ribbons, flower appliques and novelty trims.
In Dreamland, various colors of wool, mohair, and sparkling Angelina fibers are hand carded together to create beautiful heathered colors. The fiber is then hand spun with tiny flower trims, sequins, bits of lace and ribbon rosebuds. Fluffy, lightweight and a touch slubby, this yarn conjures up thoughts of fairytale dreamscapes and secret gardens. Each color combination has its own unique set of trims and colors.

This is a paper yarn made from 100% linen. It has a very thin coating of a viscose sizing, so feels crisp.
The sizing is permanent, though it will soften with use. Great yarn to weave with as warp or weft. (Be careful as a warp yarn!)
Great as knitting yarn for jackets, etc. The yarn does work on a knitting machine if you set it correctly.

This is the truly natural indigo dyed 100% linen paper yarn.
Due to the nature of the indigo dye (indigo basically only lies on the surface of the yarn.), the color tends to bleed for a while, but it will settle down to an even better blue by aging.
We're crazy about these colours, especially the 'Chlorophyll' green one, 'Midori Kihada'!

Habu Silk Wrapped Paper
Very unique paper yarn made from linen. For an additonal strength, a few strands of almost invisible raw silk is wrapped around it. It dyes beautifully. (raw silk will dye slightly differently from the linen paper) Works as a warp yarn for weavers. The knitted fabric from this yarn feels like cotton, but not. Very unusual. Very nice mixed with another yarn such as N-51 or N-52.
The yarn is completely washable! Will not go naked in rain if you are worried about that

This is beautifulfor the Coco Knits pattern 'Gisela'. There is also a free pattern on the Purl Bee called Open Air Wrap which is wonderful.
This is a rayon yarn with a viscose sizing.
Extremely strong. It has a very thin black line running in the center of the white yarn.
Very crisp in feeling, but it will soften up greatly as you handle or wash.

This yarn has a stainless steel core, surrounded by silk.
The stainless steel enables the yarn to retain memory of shapes! It will stay in that shape you mould it in until you straighten it out. It's gorgeous for making jewellery.
It is easiest if you knit this yarn in 2 strands, however a lace stitch in a single strand is beautiful.
Works fine as a warp yarn for weavers, but it is a bit tricky, so if you are just starting to use this yarn, go as a weft yarn first.

Quite a few years ago, I had a pleasure of meeting an extremely talented American indigo dyer, who studied in Japan for over 10 years. He is now a fine art professor at Indiana University, an accomplished artist and also a very ambitious indigo dyer.
I have always wanted to expand our collection of indigo dyed yarns, and when he mentioned - maybe he could dye them for me I jumped at the opportunity!
This is a very unusual variegated version, which derived from his art work. I am honored to be able to offer this again.
