[2] Mix contrasting color with a glazing medium to extend drying time. Apply enough glaze color on top of basecoat so that the basecoat color barely shows through. [3] While still wet, pull comb across surface, cutting into paint with enough pressure to reveal basecoat underneath. Let dry before applying a second coat for a criss cross or plaid.
