A vintage sewing measuring tape. The tape measure has a beautiful floral picture to one side. This is a delightful measuring tape dating from 1970's. The tape measure is square shaped and has a plain metal back. The sides of the tape measure are metal. The front panel has a beautiful blue and red coloured embroidered floral scene. The picture does have a plastic coating to it to help keep the design from getting worn away. The tape measure is quite small, measuring approx 3.5cm across by 3.5cm long and 1.4cm wide. The tape shows inches on one side and centimetres on the other and goes up to 40 inches/100 cm. The tape measure is retractable. The button needs to be pressed down to pull the measure out and then you press the button down to get the measure back in as it whizzes back into the case. The tape measure is in nice condition. The outer of the tape measure is in nice condition the picture is lovely. There is some marking to the metal in places and to the plastic coating over the picture- please see my photographs. The tape inside the measure is in used condition; the first 1cm and 1 inch on the measure is worn and a little frayed along with the rest of the measure there is alot of wear to the numbers on the measure and fraying- please see my photographs. The tape retracts perfectly. This is a beautiful tape measure that would grace any sewing kit or collection. Please note I have used the flash on my camera for the photographs so the item will be brighter in the photographs than in reality. Postage costs for the UK are for a 1st Class Signed For service with the Royal Mail. Overseas postage costs are for an International Tracked or Signed For service with the Royal Mail whichever is the service used for the area the item is going to. Please accept my apologies the Royal Mail have put an additional price increase in for postage prices as of 1st July 2020 to the USA due to the 100% price increase by USPS therefore I have had to increase the postage costs to the USA. I do try to not put any additional costs on postage and often post at a loss to myself as the costs are already high.
