The Artists' Way is a 12-Week inquiry into self-expression, creativity, and experience. Like any project, staying focused on the 12-week journey of the Artists' Way can be difficult in isolation. The intention of this FieldTrip series is to build community around the shared practice of the Artists’ Way, so that we may join together in a celebration of creativity, imagination, and self-inquiry. Learn more about the series and become a part of our (Experimental) Community Reflection Space HERE! ✨WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEK ✔️ The Basic Principles — What's this work all about? Together, we'll engage with key themes and concepts ✔️ The Basic Tools — How do we approach the actual work? Together we'll engage with morning pages and our inner censors ✔️ Learning Contracts — How do you want to hold yourself through the work? Together, we'll craft up our own personal Manifestos for the 12-week course ✔️ OPTIONAL POST-FIELDTRIP BREAKOUTS: The FieldTrip itself will run for 75-minutes with an option for 15-minutes of breakout rooms after the event. This time will be protected for those who would like to explore or integrate in community with one another. 🎒What To Bring this week ✔️ Pen and Paper ✔️ Any craft materials you have around the house: Glue sticks, magazines, paint, cardboard, sharpies, glitter, etc ✔️ A blank notebook 📚 What To Read this week ✔️ Introduction ✔️ Spiritual Electricity — The Basic Principles ✔️ The Basic Tools ✔️ If you can't read these ahead of time — don't worry! We'll go with the flow. The focus of this course this week will be tapping into some of the key themes that Julia Cameron brings up — so if anything, it will give you a ground from which to read from. When will the FieldTrip Meet? Every Other Monday from 4:00 - 5:30 EST beginning June 12th.
