Abstract sumi e painting, Zen style, Original with ink wash and both wet and dry brushstroke work by Marilyn Wells was inspired by “And what is mind And how is it recognized? It is clearly drawn in sumi ink, the sound of breezes drifting through pine.” Ikkyū Sōjun 1875S It is a koan because it makes you stop and feel your way through it. How can the poem be true? How can it be like that? These paintings are each unique art works. Imperfections are to be expected and are the hallmark of original art and the artist's hand. Sizes of original mulberry paper painting may vary, each approximately 14” x 18” - mat size is 18” x 22”. Each comes with its own Certificate of Authentication, packaged in a clear sleeve.
